Sholingur Textiles Limited was incorporated in the year 1967 and has its registered office in Chennai and mills at Sholingur, which is about 100 kms west of Chennai. The annual turnover of the company is around Rs. 650 million out of which the export turnover is around 90%. The company has been working profitably since inception.

The company commenced production in 1967 with 12,000 spindles. The capacity has been increased systematically over the years to the present capacity of 47,000 spindles. Apart from this, the company has an installed capacity of 360 rotors, 2004 TFO spindles and 12,000 ring doubling spindles.

The principal activity of the company is to manufacture 100% cotton yarn in the count range 10?s to 20?s as Open End Yarn and 30?s to 140?s (both single and double) as Ring Spun Yarn.

The company has been installing state-of-the-art machinery, both indigenous and imported, to enhance the production and the quality of yarn.

The company has a well equipped and sophisticated testing laboratory to continuously monitor both the raw material and the yarn produced.

Sholingur Textiles Limited is managed by qualified professionals at all levels of operations. The total workforce consists of about 600 skilled workers.

The company aims to increase its global market presence by diversifying into value added areas of superfine combed yarns, gassed yarns, dyed yarns, knitted fabrics, elite yarns, etc. Expansion in capacity is in progress.
